Scarlett ("the Service") is operated by Daniella Fay Kaufmann (the "Operator"), a sole proprietor based in Israel. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information we collect

When you use Scarlett, we collect the following:

• Conversation content: the messages you send and receive within the platform.
• Account information: a user identifier (random or chosen), and optionally an email address if you become a paying member.
• Technical data: IP-derived country/locale (for language detection), browser type, timestamps of sessions.
• Payment information: processed by our payment provider (Creem.io). We do not store credit card details on our servers.

2. How we use your data

• To provide the conversational experience and remember context across your sessions.
• To improve the quality of responses (aggregate, de-identified analysis only).
• To send transactional emails (membership receipts, password resets).
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Data retention

Conversation transcripts are retained for as long as your account remains active, so Scarlett can maintain continuity. You may request deletion at any time by emailing support@i-am-scarlett.ai. Free-tier conversations expire after 30 days of inactivity.

4. Third-party services

We use the following services to operate Scarlett:

• Anthropic (Claude): language model that powers the conversation. Conversations are sent to Anthropic for processing but are not used to train their models.
• ElevenLabs: voice synthesis for spoken responses.
• Cloudflare: hosting, edge processing, and storage.
• Creem.io: payment processing (Stripe-backed merchant of record).
• Resend: transactional email delivery.

5. Your rights

Regardless of where you reside, you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Export your conversation history.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

If you are in the EU/EEA, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA. Exercise any of these by emailing support@i-am-scarlett.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to maintain your session and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns.

7. Children

Scarlett is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, encrypted-at-rest storage on Cloudflare). No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
